So simple and a little bit fancy.
Dukkah (Egyptian Spice Blend)
Use as a crust for meats, sprinkle over your vegetables, salads or eggs … and of course it is often seen on a platter alongside a small bowl olive oil for dipping pieces of crusty bread. Double the batch and store in an airtight container for a couple of months.
- 1 cup Hazelnuts, roughly chopped
- ½ cup Sesame Seeds
- ¼ cup Coriander Seeds
- 2 tbs Cumin Seeds
- pinch Chilli Powder
- Himalayan Pink Salt
- Black Pepper
- Place all ingredients in a frying pan, and lightly toast for 5 minutes until aromatic
- Allow to cool
- Transfer to food processor and blitz to a coarse powder
- Store in an airtight container for up to 2 months
