Dukkah

Dukkah (Egyptian Spice Blend)

Use as a crust for meats, sprinkle over your vegetables, salads or eggs … and of course it is often seen on a platter alongside a small bowl olive oil for dipping pieces of crusty bread.
Double the batch and store in an airtight container for a couple of months.
Prep Time 20 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Hazelnuts, roughly chopped
  • ½ cup Sesame Seeds
  • ¼ cup Coriander Seeds
  • 2 tbs Cumin Seeds
  • pinch Chilli Powder
  • Himalayan Pink Salt
  • Black Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Place all ingredients in a frying pan, and lightly toast for 5 minutes until aromatic
  • Allow to cool
  • Transfer to food processor and blitz to a coarse powder
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 2 months
