Healing Bone Broth

Liquid gold ... easy to make and great to have on hand for soups, sauces and gravies (any recipe calling for stock really) adding loads of flavour and health benefits.
Tip: substitue chicken for bones of choice (beef, fish, pork etc)
Prep Time 20 minutes
Cook Time 1 day

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 kg Raw chicken carcass/necks/feet (or bones of choice) 
  • 1 medium Onion, cut in half⠀
  • 2 Stalks of celery, cut into chunks
  • 2 Carrots, cut into chunks
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 10 Peppercorns
  • 1 tbs Apple cider vinegar (opt)⠀

Instructions
 

  • Place all ingredients in your slow cooker, cover with filtered water, set on low and slow for approx. 24 hrs
  • Let cool a little
  • Ladle and strain your golden goodness into serving size containers
  • Freeze and use as required ⠀

Note: A jelly consistency is an ideal outcome … wobbles are good
